Waste Audit
The class has bag of trash from a classroom waste basket.
Now the students our weighing the trash
They are now emptying the trash on to the tarp
The Classrooms can reduce consumption and disposal of materials by using recycling areas outside of the classrooms to dispose of materials that are able to be recycled. They can also can use less printer paper by not printing an assignment until it is complete.
The 4R's can be used by: put the left over food scraps in compost bins if any at the school. The paper and plastic can be put in to their respective bins. The class should focus more on the paper and plastic products because their is a lot of it being used at Tennyson

Hi welcome to my blog.the purpose of my blog is to bring notice to recycling to Tennyson high school.
The Service-Learning Waste Reduction Project (SLWRP) helps schools establish and promote their recycling, reuse, reduction and composting systems using the service-learning teaching strategy. SLWRP connects CA content standards with school site-specific waste reduction goals. Over the previous three years, SLWRP worked with teams of teachers, custodians, administrators and parents at elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Alameda County.
Reuse-Resuse things that cann be used over and over.
Reduce-Cut down on using a certain thing.
Recycle-Take things to recyling plants to be reduced and reused
Rot-Create Compost from yard srcraps
Students need to get involved to change the look of our school
